McVay's approach to piano instruction promotes artistic
and creative skills. Her technique offers great benefits beyond
the enjoyment of music. It helps students learn in other disciplines,
preparing the groundwork for achievement.
Ms. McVay has taught, composed, performed and lectured for
more than 30 years. During her career, she has been an active member
of the Music Teachers Associations at national, state and local
and has served on several executive boards.
A graduate of Converse College, Ms. McVay pursued further study
The University of the Arts, Temple University, and the Taubman Institute.
She has studied under concert pianist Natalie Hinderas,
Professor Harvey Wedeen, and lecturer and performer Sheila Paige.
